How it works
This tool pulls from a database of 50+ laptop models with verified upgrade compatibility data. RAM and storage maximums often exceed what the manufacturer publishes — the "tested maximum" in many cases reflects what actually works, not what Lenovo or HP chose to certify.
A few things to keep in mind: CPU upgrades are almost never possible in modern laptops (they're soldered to the motherboard). Wi-Fi card upgrades are blocked by BIOS allowlists on some HP and Lenovo models — the guide on upgrading to Wi-Fi 7 covers how to check this before buying.
